Christmas is just around the corner..People are already cramming to the mall to do their Christmas Shoppings...Most if not all, are starting to put up the tree and decorate their houses..Christmas songs are in the air..Kids are getting excited about what they will get for Christmas.. But how about you? Do you feel the Christmas Spirit knocking on your door? Or you're not even in the mood to celebrate it this year?

With this economy in the shape its in how can anyone be in the mood for spending money that they may or not have...i don't think that this will be such a merry christmas this season with many families facing foreclosures, job layoffs, pay cuts and a host of many more problems that face the american households...

Not yet. Maybe after All Saints' Day (November 1st). And I don't think some people are in the mood for an early Christmas shopping too, especially nowadays. But I will definitely celebrate it. It is just once a year when I see children happy with new clothes and shoes, dressed up to visit their Godparents. Basically, Christmas is really for the little kids and for the little kids by heart.

Umm I would say that my feelings lie in middle of those two feelings.. "to celebrate" or "not to celebrate".. You can say that right now am I feeling nothing about Christmas.. But have some pretty good plans for this Christmas!! As I am in my church choir group we all are thinking to rock this Christmas. Lets hope for best. And I am thinking of making this Christmas special. From last 3-4 years my Christmas is never special like it used to be before when I was a kid. So Will try to make this one special. Will give some gifts away as this year I am truly feeling to gift some one from my heart!! Will try to involve myself in making Christmas cakes. And will make a grand dinner as well. Have a Happy Christmas.

The christmas spirit is trying to come in, and indeed I have done all my shopping more or less apart from the annoying little bits. I have my food money saved up and really it should be all systems go, but, and there is always a gloomy but on the horizon. Hubby's place of work is going through a bad time and are making hundreds of redundancies, the working week has been cut so we will either lose quite a lot of money a month or hubby will be home with his cards marked sometime next week. Kind of kills the spirit of christmas with this looming over us all.

I have to agree that it is a bit too early to start celebrating Christmas - but then I celebrate the reason for the season all year long. I think whatever we can do to help someone else this year {if we have a little extra to share} - that will be great - and for those who don't have it - send out a prayer for those who need the necessities, and those who are sad or depressed for one reason or another. The best Chrstmas gift to me this year, would be to see the healing of our nation. There's such unrest, financial heartache, and such strong hatred where the presedential candidates are concerned. We're stronger united, than divided - that's for sure.

I think we first have to pass the other holidays to actually be in the Christmas spirit though. Even though I do have to agree with the person who talked about the economy. I mean where I live people at this time are all fully decorated for Halloween, then thanksgiving around the corner, then finally christmas but with the economy how it is I have yet to see one Halloween decoration I guess it's not time for celebrating or there's really no reason to spend money on decorations when you can use that money for something else.

Wow, where do you live? Christmas is certainly not in the air where I live. It is two months before Christmas, so there is plenty of time. Halloween and Thanksgiving have not happened yet. The Christmas spirit will be in my heart, when the season comes, but there will be nothing special, no shopping, if I still have a home to live in, I will thank God for me not being in the street. This is not a happy time for me, I lost my job, I got bills to the ceiling, and barely enough food to eat. My focus is trying to survive, and I will have to let Christmas take care of itself without me, but like I said the spirit of Christmas will be in my heart. Hope things are going good for you, which from your post it sounds like it. Take care

Are you kidding? Its only OCTOBER. I still have leaves to rake. NO ONE I know is decorating, or shopping, or playing christmas music yet. Why rush christmas? We still have Halloween and thanksgiving to deal with first.

I'm in the mood yet. They day after Thanksgiving is the start of the season for me. I always go shopping that day. They have great sales. A little earlier this week, I want to the mall and saw Christmas decorations. It didn't make me feel in the holiday spirit; it just made me annoyed.

I'm always excited for Christmas and yes, the spirit of Christmas is all over now. The radio stations play Christmas songs already. We've also put up our decorations at home. The only thing I need to do is buy the gifts. I still don't have enough funds for it so I'm still saving more everyday.;D

I am not in the mood for Christmas yet. I have not seen any signs of Christmas around here yet. I think they will start around the 1st of November. I do love it when that spirit comes, the music the decorations. I like it when the city puts up its decorations along the city streets.

I still like the idea of christmas even though things are very difficult right now financially! I just like some of the movies that come on during this period. I don't really decorate my place as such, that's for families and children, I live by my lonesome so I just treat it as another day. I notice attitudes seem to pick up and become more positive at this time of year. Anyway, happy christmas to you in advance! Andrew

I can feel that Christmas is near. I am hearing Christmas songs everytime I ride the train in the morning and after work. I can see people selling decors already. Sale on malls are all over the place. The only problem for me is that I do not have the money to buy Christmas gifts yet. That is what is missing from me -- money. haha. And the nights are longer already and i can see some people selling bibingka nad puto bungbong -- delicacies sold here in my country mostly during Christmas time only.

I feel the Christmas spirit all year long. Christmas is a time of joy and I'm full of joy all the time. I may not always be totally happy, but I still have the joy of the Lord. I start buying or making Christmas gifts in January. Every time I find something that "fits" one of the people on list, that's when I buy. If I'm alone in the house - in June or July or August - and I feel like listening to Christmas carols, I put them on the stereo and crank it up. I'll probably start wrapping gifts around mid-November and start decorating around then too.

Hi eihdra! No not yet! It's a little too early for me to feel the Christmas spirit! I usually don't start feeling it until around Thanksgiving. That's really when it starts getting to be Christmas around here. I usually put up my tree on Thanksgiving weekend. I am just not ready yet. It is still October and Halloween isn't even here yet. I have alot of things to do before I can even start thinking about Christmas. This year is going to be very special for me. It is the first year in a very long time that I will be really decorating my regular Christmas tree. My bf and I will be having our first Christmas together and he hasn't been able to celebrate Christmas in 14 years because he was in prison and last year was his first year out and he wasn't ready to celebrate and he spent Christmas alone. So this year he really wants to do it up right. So we are really looking forward to a really great Christmas!

I feel the Christmas spirit and actually I'm already thinking about what presents I'm going to buy. I always start planning earlier because in this way i don't leave everything for the last moment. I think that i associate Christmas more with the presents than with the Christmas spirit itself. happy mylotting
