Do you work out regularly?

Do you work out or do any kind of physical exercise on a regular basis? There are times when I go months making sure I work out, then I will go a few months without working out. There are different reasons, whether it be not having time or feeling drained and exhausted from time to time. I have done good this year. I worked out February through May. Then I was real busy this summer. But have started working out again since the beginning of October. I have been able to tell a big difference in my energy levels all year long. What about you? Can you feel the difference when you are in better shape? I think I am starting to get rid of my double chin too. LOL

Here in the United States we mainly use the old weights and measurements system, so I am not familiar with kilos. I wonder how many pounds that would be. I guess I could break out the old conversion chart and figure it out. :) Although it is getting late now, and I am getting tired. I know I have a tendency when the weather gets cold not to exercise as much, so I can see how easy it is to gain weight. Maybe I will have more energy tomorrow! Just trying to think positive here!

Actually I do two diferent sorts of exercise. One is when I am working on our small organic farm where it is all physical stuff of walking and bending over to check orpick the vegetables. The other is walking when I take a break from truck driving and then I get out of the truck and walk around for about half an hour. I find that sitting in the truck all the time saps the energy plus the body starts to spread a bit so walking is the one thing I can do when I pull over for the night and it can be done anywhere, even at a truck stop. Often of an evening when I am home, if we finish doing what we have to do early then my partner and I go for a walk around the block, well on the road that runs around or block actually. It takes us about half an hour to lap the entire perimeter and is just enough to keep us feeling more energetic. Exercise is good and I find that as I cannot manage anything else due to time and place restrictions, walking deos the trick for me. Best of all it costs nothing.

I think walking really is great exercise also. I have started walking quite a bit now. It just seems to be one of the things that I enjoy doing most. And like you said, it doesn't cost anything. Sounds like you get a lot of exercise with all that you do. It's great to hear that! Thanks for your response, and have a great day posting on myLot!

I wish I worked out more, I used to, but now I have a job as well as school and I am too drained to make time for a workout, unless if I got rid of all my mylot time, but then I would be very unhappy not being able to just relax. I am already in fairly good shape, but working out makes you feel better, not just look good. My job is one where you are constantly doing physical activity, but when I am doing my job it is more of a stressed work out... when you actually work out you get rid of the stress, so instead at work I am a stress absorber haha, not a stress dispeller haha. Perhaps on one of my days off I will do some yoga or something, I need to get my body into a healthy routine. Well anyways, I wish you the best of luck with working out, happy mylotting and have a great day or night!

Thank you for your response. You make a lot of great points here. Especially when you talk about relieving the day to day stress. I agree whole heartedly. I hope I can keep a routine going throughout the winter. Thanks again and have a great day mylotting!

I exercise a lot in the summer. I can't say the same about in fall/winter/spring however. Like right now (october), its very very cold in Chicago. I get my walking in on most every day but as far as real workouts, no. Summer includes, running, swimming, etc. Energy wise, summer is fantastic! I feel like accomplishing more. In the winter I don't have the energy to START excercising _. I wish I did though. I feel that my health improves a lot though...muscles, movement, potential.

Chicago, the windy city! What a great town! I can imagine what the weather is like for you, because I used to live not that far away, near South Bend, Indiana. I still want to try to make it to Chicago to watch the Cubs play. I've been there every year for a game the last 4 or 5 years. Chicago is great. Thanks for your response and have a great.
