There is no doubt that the last Prophet Muhammad(pbuh)was the most influential personality of the world.So we should appreciate Michael H.Hart for writing a real truth being a Christian........I think I should write his complete quotation for the readers:

No doubt he was really praise-worthy.He showed us the straight path to paradise by breaking the shackles of polytheism and idol-worshiping.I believe one day Islam has to enter every house,city and continent when Jesus will come and tell about the truth of Islam and Quran.

Allah say's in the Quran that Islam is the religion which will supersede all other religions.
Brother even we are with responsibility to spread the message of Islam.Jesus Christ(pbuh)will come and all people in the whole world will revert to the religion Islam.

Most influential does not necessarily mean that a person is good or great.
Michael Hart meant that Mohamed was influential in the spread of Islam in the world
and that Islam is one of the fastest growing religions. But then again, Hitler and
Stalin were influential too

Of course Hitler and Stalin were influential.Why?
Because they were influential as Hitler killed the 6 million Jews and Christians do supported this as per religion.I said this because you might not know why they were influential.
Muhammad(pbuh) because of his virtue.A man which humanity was ever known and humanity will ever know.
Michael Hart said Muhammad(pbuh) is the most influential man second Isaac Newton third Jesus Christ(pbuh) though majority in the world is Christians.
If you study the teaching of Muhammad(pbuh) you will not find any mistake because he spoke to us what God has Spoken to his and said to teach the same to people.Our creator had sent Muhammad(pbuh)with the message of God to humanity.After studying if you had any doubt,you can ask me brother InshaAllah i will reply and clear your misconception.
