Does anyone watch discovery channel?

Discovery channel is quite nice. There is some awesome staff on it.
I watched a show yesterday. The guys in a weird country are amazing. They hardly wear some clothes. The more interesting part is, if a man wanna marry a woman, he has to pay her a pig. No offence to them, actully they are good people. I just didn't know there was some country like that.
What TV shows do you watch on discovey channel?

Are you sure that it isn't the father of the prospective bride who gets the pig? I remember reading about a custom like that but don't remember in what country that custom was. I hardly ever watch discovery channel, as my husband doesn't care for it. Another channel that I like but he doesn't is Animal Planet. Maybe you'd be better off staying single. Just kidding. Watching discovery channel and Animal Planet with just the cat for company sounds like it would be lonesome.

U are right, the father will get a pig. I accidently made a mistake though I did know it was a mistake.
When I got the offer of a famous graduate school in Hongkong, my parents told everyone they met, as if it's a big accomplishment, a super hero or something...
But there is someone waiting for me in UC Berkeley...hehe. Thus, you know, I have quarrelled with them for times since they tried to talk me out of it. Oh, now, they agree with me somehow! It is worth to cheer anyway! At long last, I believe I will make it. Also, my roommate is in UCLA, so is my cousin. It's intense, this thing, I have for, ah, california, I mean. I will meet three people there.
Most of my undergraduate classmates have been aborad. I miss all of them. It is awkward to talk too much. Lol

I'm very happy for you that your parents are beginning to see things your way. How soon will you be coming to the US? California has beautiful scenery and wonderful weather. I've been to southern California at least twice, but it has been a l-o-n-g time. Our son-in-law was stationed at Camp Pendleton when he was in the Marine Corps. They liked California so well that they settled there after he was discharged. Later, they moved to Missouri to be near his parents and help them run the car lot business.

My favorite show is on that channel: Cash cab. If you've never wtched it, you should. It's on between 6 and 7, they are 2 half hour episodes. People in New York who are taking a cab have no idea they are getting into the "cash cab." instead of paying for the ride, they get paid for answering general knowlege questions. I'll tell you no more than that. Just watch. Watch the first 10 minutes. You will be able to tell whether you'll like it or not.

I was very curious of weird countries, which I didn't know in the world. It is interesting to watch the show in disvoery channnel somehow!

Yes I do watch discovery channel. in fact it's one of my favorite channel aside from travel and living, animal planet, national geographic to name a few.
I learn a lot of things even different culture from watching discovery channel, you will also learn some history from watching this very interesting channel.
For me a day is not complete without checking what's the topic being shown on this channel

Hi,
I too like Discovery Channel. I like various programmes on Wild Animals . There is a good show : "Man V/S Wild " which is being aired now a days . It shows how a Man survives alone in a Jungle ; all by himself .
There are good Programmes on construction of Big Buildings ; Roads, Bridges .
There are also good Programmes on different Countries etc
