i know with the drop in the canadian dollar, it is takeing a toll on our financial situation. since the bail out of the usa nothing is the same. a barrel of oil is now 80.00 and the last time it was that low we were paying 65 cents a litre for fuel. alas it still hovers around 95 cents, which of course is much better than the 1.35 per litre we were paying last summer, but still not within the reins of the driveing population. okay we all need fuel but can they get anymore beligerent when they raise fuel prices on friday and drop it on monday. and don't dare gas up on the friday before a holiday weekend.

Hi, Ofcource people need the extra money and ebay is the way to go. Ebay is always cheap so people will buy and people need the money so they will sell. that the whole point of the website. From Tevi :)

good point tevi, but my question was about the downturned economy and how its effecting ebay sales. i've been selling on the site since 2004 and notice a decrease in sales activity on the bay, although the dollar has taken a plunge and things are beginning to return to an almost normal state, as things were 10 years ago. the world has a glut of fossil fuels now and can't get rid of it fast enough so therefore the price goes down. but everything effected by the cost of fuel has a direct effect on the consumer. did you know when you purchase an oil filter YOU NOW HAVE TO PAY AN UPFRONT TAX ON IT. it's called an environmental tax. it has no biodegradeable materials and cannot be returned to mother earth. but could they not be used as fuel? it is an oil filter, recycle it, burn it down to its earliest existance. it's self combustable once warmed to proper temperature. there are so many things going on in this world that it's difficult for one person to understand the complexities of life in general, let alone in completion. what are your thoughts
