I'm a writer, so I don't go out go to an office. My office is my living room, although hopefully that changes if I get this fellowship in the Fall of 2009. I will also use mass transit to get my office. I work about 30 to 40 hours I week spread over 7 days. Everyday, I work at least 3 to 4 hours a day lately.

I am currently a part time worker, but soon to be a full time worker in the next couple of weeks or so because I am getting promoted!! More money and benefits and it's going to be great! So for now my hours are Mon-Fri 4:30 to 9 and Saturdays 9-6. After my promotion I'll be working Mon-Fri 8-4:30. NO WEEKENDS!! I have been working weekends since I was 15, so it's gonna be pretty weird having them off, I'll probably feel lost LOL

Hi zhaosonghan, I am a full time worker, I work from monday to friday too, now it's great to work only 5 days because in my previous works I used to work from monday to saturday and it was very frustrating to wake up early in the morning at saturday again, having only sunday to rest well.. here we have too traffic jam at the mornings and I think that it's more frustating to me at the evening because I want to arrive home as soon as possible, after passing all day working, I only want to see my bed or my home computer

I work full time, Monday-Friday. I drive to work everyday. I would prefer to bike but the roads from my home to work are kinda dangerous for bikers - very curvy and very hard for drivers to see you until the last second. Generally, traffic jams don't bother me. When I lived in the city, I was stuck in one all the time it seemed. Recently, I moved to the suburbs so less traffic for me.

Yes,you have moved to the suburb, but you work in the centry of city, you must drive into the centry of city, then you would face the traffic jam again, all right?

Well, that is also my case here. However, it is better we have a flexible time. I usually go to work at around 9:00am. In our place morning rush hour is from 7 - 8am. So when, I go to work, the public transport is not so crowded anymore. Then, i will be home at around 8pm already. Which means less cars already as rush hour starts from 5 until 7pm. I think the best way to cope with your situation is either you change your rhythm. Why not go to your office earlier and stay later. In this way, you will not be bothered by traffic jam. It is better to control your time than let traffic jam control you.

It sounds good, but there is still a problem, most of people's work time are same, you work at 9:00 and others also.So i just only wake up early,it is only way for me.If you have a short distance from office to home, you don't be late whenever you go to office, but less of people are lucky, most of people are like me must take a crowed bus and face the traffic jam.

Hi there.I work fulltime in a formworks company. Our office operates from Monday - Friday.Though, often times I go to the office during weekends to finish work.We have a ton of work loads to finish so we are sometimes forced to render work on rest days.It doesnt bother me because i earn extra money from it.my office is two rides away from the apartment i stay.It usually takes me half an hour to reach our office, but during weekends, the time of the trip is cut into half.traffic in not an everyday scene in our area.We seldom have traffic around our place.I also render extra work as a designer/drafter.i design homes and even commercial buildings.Good thing i dont experience a lot of traffic around here. Have a nice day

I'm not a big fan of buses either. It's definitely great for the environment, but it does take a long time to get around. Also, bus stops can be frustrating. There have been so many times when I've waited at a bus stop to find out it's a day when the bus stops early, or the schedule is irregular or whatever, and then I have to foot it home -- and spend most of the time doing it. Luckily, I live close to work. Unfortunately, I like my sleep and I'm still late at times.

You can wake up early, and go to bus station, you will not miss bus, don't care go home by foot when you were out of work, you can breath air of outside,it is not bad if your office is not far from home.Sometimes i deliberately walked a long distance,i need some ways to relax myself, and walking is my way,so usually i would take a bus after i walked.

Well I work as an I.T. and my office is in Guadalupe and I'm staying here in Quezon City. It takes me 1 1/2 hours to get to the office. SO I usually leave the house early just to be early to arrieve in the office. It's better to be early then to be late. What do you think? I hate the traffic in the morning that is why I really leave the house early. Anyway going home even it's traffic when I reach the house I can rest and feeling good. I don't also have a car I just commute. Have a nice day!

Well, you don't worry about traffic jam and how to go to your office, now you are boss, you decide when you start working when you end wroking,so cool! You got freedom, but i am worry that whether SOHO can offer you all of necessaries,i have ever thought doing like this, but i don't sure this type of life fit me,and now i am a common worker, everyday going to office on time.
