Which is the Longest River in the World????

The Nile is a major north-flowing river in Africa, generally regarded as the longest river in the world.

The precise length of a river is not easy to calculate and depends on correctly identifying the source and the mouth. My history teacher taught me that the world's longest river is Nile (6,695 kilometers) But there has been a team of Brazilian researchers that made an expedition which made them claim that the Amazon (world's largest river in volume) stretches by 284 kilometers making it 105 kilometers longer than Nile River.

The Nile, which is over 4,000 miles long, is the longest river in the world. It is followed closely by the Amazon, which is a little less than 4,000 miles.
