Hi, I've seen one of these electric doughnut makers but it did not come with a recipe so I did not buy it because I know traditional doughnuts are made of a yeast batter and fried in hot oil, I am not sure how the electric types would respond to this batter since it needs some rising time. I have since googled and found a recipe with the Prima doughnut maker, this uses baking powder as a raising agent instead of yeast so it would be rather like a cake. Has anyone used these machines and were you happy with it? I have an electric waffle iron and use it a lot, it would be nice to make doughnuts with fewer calories than deep-frying. Thank you Sunny
