Have you ever forgotten something during a shopping trip?

Tonight my partner and I did a quick shopping trip to take advantage of the sales before the stores closed and began all new sales on Sunday. We went to one store and then went to the grocery store for all of our food stuff since they were running pretty good sales. So, we did our browsing, got all the things that we wanted and paid for them at the register. We left the store and came back to our apartment and were only here about 10 minutes before I realized there was one more store that I wanted to visit because there was one more sale that I definitely needed to take part in before tomorrow. I needed to get a cartridge of printer ink and Target had a pretty good sale on the ink that I use. So, even though we were home and had already put everything away, we decided to take one more trip out so we could get the printer ink. Have you ever forgot a needed purchase and then gone back out to get it? Would you leave home for that item or would just forget about it for the night and stay home?

I also have the experience that when I went back home and forgot something. If it's not necessary or urgent, I won't go back to purchase, just forget it. If I had to buy it, maybe I will try to get it. but it would annoys me.

Yes, mostly often. Me and my wife, usually have make plans on what will we bought in the store. But when we get there, some of it are forgotten, just because we like to seeing some new thing. Some fair, some new offers, some discounts. That's bluring what we have planned before. I do sometime to note what we should buy in my phone, but it did not work. My lazy illness stopped it. SO, you can imagine that we have to go to the same store on the next day. LOL.

Well it takes $10-$15 in gas to get back to town from where I live if I forget something I have to deal with it. I don't have a car and have to pay others to take me where I need to go. I am always forgetting things though always.

I forget stuff all the time, and I just have to go back the next day, or that evening and get it. I remember most things, but every now and then when I am there, I'll run into something, or someone else will distract me, and I'll forget something important. it happens to the best of us.

Sure, if I got everything I needed in one place I'd go crazy because I don't want life to be that efficient.

This always happen to my wife and I as well. Even though sometimes we have brought our shopping list to the hypermarket, we would still find out by the time we got home that we have forgotten to buy something. When that happened, I would normally just go somewhere the next day and buy those few items that we have missed. I would normally not go back to the hypermarket just to buy only a few items and save the cost of traveling there... Sometimes when we really calculate the traveling costs and the parking costs and other costs involved in going to buy something at a sales, it is not worth it unless the discounts are really huge and the items are really needed and could not be bought elsewhere... Cheers!

it is common for me as most of the times i have forgotten to buy something. when we go out for the weekend shopping for the groceries i sometimes forget to buy and i have to tell my husband to get it when he is free and it happens specially when my son is asking to carry him and if he wants anything, you know childrens attitude and this always make me forget and hence because of this i always make a list and refer it when i have gone for shopping.

I am always forgetting something. I make a list and either forget the list at home, forget I have it with me or, even if I read it, somehow always manage to overlook at least one item on it. I live an hour and a half from the nearest city, and when I forget something important, I can't go back right away. I have learned to make do.

Yes sometimes I do but depends on the urgency or needs of that item. If urgent than got to make another trip down or else leave it. At times, I will make a long list but sometimes I still leave something out. I wonder why...
