I have been trying to finish my homework (Algebra) for 3hrs now. I don't care about the class and I can't seem to buckle down and get it done. I have to have my homework done and posted by midnight. I keep finding everything and anything to do except for these 20 problems. Like now I'm posting instead of figuring....very, very, bad. Time is ticking and I can't do it! Okay, I've vented now I'm going back to it. Thanks for listening. Anyone else out there posting instead of studying or doing homework? Shame on you if you are! But hey, who am I to scold:-)

Well, a student's life is sometimes like that..you tend to relax a bit when things are stacking up. I was there and I think it's not that bad at all, it's simply giving yourself a break-- for sanity's sake. Goode luck, you can do it marian!

I'm such a procrastinator. I usually leave things until the day before they are due before I'll actually start working on them. However, sometimes I do actually start working on things the week before they are due. It all depends on the mood I'm in and how much other work I have to do.

I've done that. I have good intentions and I start early, especially team projects but something happens and I hit a slow down period and I can't get back in the mood until I'm up against the clock.

Yeah, better get it done coz it's not going anywhere and it will always be there until you've finally faced it. I used to do that when I was in school. I bet you keep checking in on Mylot anyway to see if anybody is responding to you post... It's no wonder you keep putting it off coz it's something you don't like. I hate Algebra too and I had a hard time with it in school. It's okay to lag as long as you get it done in time or you'll be in trouble...

I find that when I am procrastinating (and with Algebra, I can definitely relate, I hated that class), I try to find myself some kind of a reward for when I finish all or part of my work. Although, true, the work will reward itself by giving you passing grades, this was never quite... enough to motivate me to stop browsing the Internet or talking to friends online and buckle down to work. My advice to you is to find something fun to do (like watching a movie, walking your dog, browsing myLot) and not let yourself do it until after your homework. It's hard, but it's worth it. Not to mention, you'll enjoy it a lot more knowing that your work is all finished. Good luck!
