Have you ever suffered from calumny? I have suffered from this once. I fell out with a "friend" and he was spreading rumours about me that I tried to do his wife. Some of my colleagues did believe him at first. Then they get to know his true self... that he is a womanizer etc. They soon learned the truth about him and they started questioning whatever he said about me. However the tarnish that you suffer rests there. A calumny is like a bag full of feathers and you take it on a roof on a windy day. You will never be able to get back all the feathers. © ronaldinu 2008

Yes, I have suffered from a calumny. I guess in some ways we all have. It runs rampant in schools where rumors can be grueling and cruel. I am sorry about the lies your friend told. I am sure as others became wizened to his lies it possibly wiped the slate of lies he told about you clean or so I would hope..

My case is not as serious as yours.. Just that i was my with my fren's ex gf, and that he was jealous, that he starts to spread alot of untrue things about me.. Resulting in alot of misunderstanding between me and her, but luckily time do prove everything, but at the same time, the level of trust is not the same liek before anymore.. And also in my mind, i'm always actually wondering, why would most ple choose to believe in what a 3rd party says rather than the party involved??
I guess that's human nature?? lol

It is one of the worst things that can happen for someone to tell lies about you behind your back. There is very little you can do about it and it is so hard to put it right later. Once things have been said it is very difficult to completely be rid of the im pact. I really think we should resort to law when this sort of thing happens
blessed be

I ronaldinu,
Years ago, I was acused of spreading rumours, by my family but the peson who was speading the rumours was found out and I never got an apology from any of them. The awful thing is that happened many years ago but people still think it was me still.
Tamara
