I have founnd that when we go shopping, I amalways arry8ing the money or the credit/debit cards and I always make the payment. My wife very rarely carries money. Infact whenshe has to go shopping alone, she borrows money from me and goes. She never has any money with her. I never stop her from keeping money, but she says she likes to take from me.Though she is working and has her own bandk account, she has never visited the bank and all her banking to is handled by me. She just signs the cheques of required. She has never seen what ai do with the money or how ait has been spent. I am the basic banker at home.
What about your homes. Who handles the money matters? The husband or the wife?

Since, I am not yet married, I would rather carry the money with what to buy priority list.
I am more comfortable shopping with priority of household needs on top of the budget. I believe I am good at managing budget thus it's not an issue really.

I am the banker at home and everywhere else. My husband has given me this responsibility because he says he wants me to handle about financial matters. He said he is not good with handling money and if he keeps the money he would spend on things which is not needed.
Every month when he gets the salary he would only keep the money to pay for our rental fees. He will keep the money for electricity and water bills too if the bills have already received our home when his salary has been received. Otherwise he would give all the money to me to handle.
With the money I plan our budget so that it is enough until the end of the month. We never buy things which are not needed, and we avoid from eating outside. Once or twice a month is okay for us to eat outside, because we need some time to hang out too. But every other day we eat at home and I am the one who does all the cooking.
