Does our cat ever get crazy?

Every cat I've ever known or had will ocassionally - without cat nip - just start zooming around the room or house like a whirling dervish. Ever had a cat who did this or some other crazy behaviour? Careening off furnture and counters almost off the walls.

Its so funny to watch --- I asked this question about to dogs and one responder mentioned her kit kats who go crazy like that before rain!

oh yeah. we have a cat and she goes completely nuts on the laser pointer. she'd even bounce on the wall for it. sometimes she would wrap herself on my foot and just bite me.last night as i was laying on the couch, she just decided to lay on my head. suddenly she wrapped her body on my head and bite my head. crazy cat!

Yes. My sister's youngest cat, Little One, runs around All the time. He runs from the living room to my sister's bedroom and back.It is like a cat that we can't see is chasing him.my sister has lost two cats and one of them , Puppy Cat,would play with Little One. So I just think Puppy Cat has come back and is playing with him.

Aww thats so sweet to think that. I lost a cat while pregnant and I swear I'd see him out of the corner of my eye and hear his meow. He was the momma's boy and I was his mamma.
Did Little one not do that before.

oh yea.the black cat we have right now does something we call "ya-yas".
he'll run around like a nut for a good hour for no particular reason.
sometimes he just wants to play,but he usually attracts the ire of another cat who wants to sleep at that moment.

just 3 now,my 2 oldest passed away last year.
i was debating getting them a new friend,but these three are a "unit",one more might disrupt things.
but then,i've said that before

I miss having a pet. But right now my toddler takes all of my attention. I tend to fall for cats that are very needy and want all of my attention all of the time - kind of like a toddler. And I'm only slowly training my toddler to either "help" me around the house or be independent. He has his needier days though.
Every time I see a neighborhood cat I feel a longing for my cats that have passed on.

Absolutly!I have four cats as a matter of fact and even the lazy one gets crazy once in a while.Three of them were just fixed yesterday and the little one is still running around like crazy,I guess he doesn't know what he is missing.hahaha poor guy.

That's so funny. I've noticed cats settle down a bit after being fixed. They still have their moments though!

Well my cousin's cat loves to sit on top of the tv set as if he is king or something check the picture to get the idea lol
He looks at you funny if you watch him.. gives me the creeps

That's so funny. Like all cats he prolly thinks he is king. In ancient Egypt, and other ancient lands, Cats were feared and revered and pharaohs often had them.
