I have a teen that is absolutly driving me crazy. He is always so angry I have tried everything and do not no what else to do. He is flunking out of school, hates were we live snd is very withdrawn. I have tried counseling but he will not talk to anyone and his father has not been a part of his life since he was a year old. I always thought my oldest was going to be my roughest child because he has ADHD BD disorder but I was wrong. My oldest even with his behavioral issues always seemed to be happy and respectful to others but my youngest just does not seem to care about anything. I have even tried to get him involved with the youth group at my church but he refuses to try anything all he says is he does not belong anywhere. I am really worried about him and do not know what else to do I have been trying to tell myself it is just a phase and he will grow out of it but it started when he was about 12 and now he is almost 16 and it just seems to be getting worse instead of better. anyone have any other suggestions on what to do or how to help him?

Hi SuzieQric! I feel your pain for I am a single mom of nearly 3 teenage boys, ages 12 1/2, 14, and 18. The teen years are brutal, especially in this time that we are living in. My eldest son dropped out of school but recently went back to get his G.E.D. A lot of these kids are angry and being that his father is not in his life, that could be part of it and that is one of the reasons why my eldest son is angry. My 12 and 14 year olds are by my ex-fiance. Well being that you tried to get him involved into your church group I would assume that you pray. There are times when certain situations must be left in the hands of our Heavenly Father. I wrote a list of all of my concerns and wishes and put them in my Bible and told God that I am leaving everything in his hand. We try to fix things ourselves and sometimes we need to let God. I am not saying to give up but what I am saying is to not stress yourself out. I truly wish you the best. Here is my prayer for you: Dear God above, I pray in Jesus' name that you give Suzie the mental strength and grace she needs during this trying time in her life. Lay your healing hands on her children Lord God and continue to bless them with the things they need. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
