I am a member of one of those online/mail out dvd programs. We probably rent about 3 or 4 movies a month. I think because it has become so expensive to go out to the movie theater to see a movie we rent a lot more now. It's also nice to watch at home because you can wear your pajamas and rewind the parts you may want to see again. You can also pause the movie for whatever reasons you need to. But I still really enjoy going to the theater..and maybe go a few times a year.. The big screen and great sound quality and come on...who doesn't love the popcorn?? But now adays I am more choosey about which movies I will see at the movie theater and which I will wait a few months for to come out on dvd... Action films are better on the theater screen I think so those I will usually go out to see.. Which do you do most often??

Right now we have gone more to the movie teathers than renting. And that is sad because I think in total we went to the movies maybe a handful of times over the summer, but because we have a dollar movie theather (it is close to two) we have gone more there than to the one where the new movies are at)

I rent DVD's at home and much prefer it to the cinema. When I do go to the cinema on rare occasions I have to put loo paper in my ears as the volume is way too high for me and is really painful to my ears. Nope - home is best for me.

Hi! I still prefer going to the movie house because I like the popcorn and the big screen plus better sound. Sometimes it is difficult to get away from what we've been used to. When the weather is very cold, and when it's raining or snowing, it's best to just stay on the couch and watch a DVD movie. Otherwise, it is still the movie house for me. Just one of the simple joys that I want to not miss in my life, because I love movies.

I am a big fan of movies and watching movies because movies add a lot to life and watching a good movie is a good way to relax when you are stressed and having a bad day,and when it is raining or snowing outside,it is very romantic to cuddle up next to the one you love, with a bowl of popcorn inbetween you,and watch a good movie, and I think that going to the movie theaters to see a movie is too expensive and me and my fiance only go to the theaters a couple times a year, and that is only if there is a movie playing that we really want to see,and we both definitely prefer to go up to the movie store and rent a movie or two on DVD and then come home and either watch them alone in our room, alone in the den, when my parents are asleep,or with my parents in the den.

Hi there Shar. I think i qualify for the dvd's, but not only rental as some i prefer to buy and rewatch from time to time because i simply love the respective movie (if only they were cheaper i could buy more for my collection). I do however like to go to the cinema from time to time and view some of the greatest movies.

I do not go to the movie theater. I am on a fixed income and can not afford to go. Alot of times I buy my movies over renting them even. You can get some real deals on previously viewed movies here at the movie atore. It only costs a little more than if you were to rent them. It is a little disappointing that I do get to watch them when they are new but I deal with it.

I don't hit the theater as much, but if there is something I want to see, then I go to it. I usuallly get the dvd and watch it at home. I try to do a movie night usually by myself because my daughters have their own active lives and all. Sometimes they watch along with me since I have to do it in one of their bedroom so that's about it. I try to watch something at least once a week. Since I'm not working a bit more often.

I rather buy the dvd if its a movie I really want to see. Like this week Tinkerbell came out and this weekend I will buy it of course I have 2 little girls and they like those kind of movies so I know it will be watched. If we are just renting a movie I rather rent it off the tv. You don't have to worry about returning it and being at home instead of going to the movies is much easier since our girls are little and we have to take many potty breaks. That little pause button is our friend when watching movies lol.

We wait and watch movies once they come out on dvd. Once in awhile I will take my son to the theater if there is a movie he wants to see really badly. I like watching in the comfort of my own home though I can pause the moive when I want and can watch the movie in my pjs plus the movie theater here is always so cold inside I want to be warm when I watch a movie.

My husband and I haven't been to a movie theater for like seven years. We used to rent movies, but for the last several years we have been buying used movies. We buy used movies because it is cheaper than going to the movies or renting movies. Plus, I get to watch the movies more than one time without paying more than once.

We rent DVD's because the movie theater is too far away to go to. We can rent movies and travel only about 5 miles. I always went to the movie theater when I was little girl. My 3 year old grandaughter has never been to a movie theater and I am not sure that she could sit through a movie.

It all depends for me really, I liek renting movies since it's private and not a whole bunch of people around you with the possibility of a screamign kid, but sometimes, it's best to see a movie in the theatre, with the huge screen and awesome surround sound.

I have not been to a movie theater in 6 years. I would love to go once a month but our financial situation is prohibitive of this luxury among many others reserved for the middle class and above. The same can be said for DVD's We rarely rent one maybe one or two every 2-4 months. We watch old VCR movies or what is on T.V from the 4 channels we get by Antenna. On occassion I pick up a cheap Movie DVD or VHS at a yard sale we have not seen. I love popcorn but my teeth are getting bad and no dental or medical to get them fixed. I do love adventure action drama type movies best especially sci-fi or historical ones.

I see more movies on cable t.v. I have so many movie channels and most of them air films uncut and commerical free.I used to belong to Net Flix but I am not a member any longer. I do like seeing action films in the theater too. The sound and the big picture are Meant for thew genre.

I would rather go to the theatre but rarely do. I belong to a sorority group and we go a couple times a year as a social, but on a discounted night to save money and usually see a "chick flick" if there is one showing. That is usually the only time that I go. I do belong to a mail dvd program but, and don't laugh, I have had the same dvd's for about 6-8 months now. What do they care? They are still getting their money for the 2 dvd's that are sitting on my tv that I haven't watched yet. By the time I watch them, they will be a movie of the week on Friday night!!

I never liked going to a movie theater. Since I like to watch movies in the comfort and privacy of my home, I rent DVDs, instead of going to a theater.

If the movies are interesting I have to watch it on theaters but if it is not really interesting and just watch it for fun I will buy a copy or borrow, I have no membership in any renting stores for dvds.
