How often do you get your kids pictures taken?

How often do you get your kids pictures taken professionally? I took my son a lot when he was a baby. But when he was a year old he did not like getting his picture taken anymore so I think I took him one time and they just happened to get a good pic of him through his crying spells. I tried some other times and he just would not let the lady take his picture. He kept crying and trying to run away. LOL So today I thought I would try it again since he's 2 1/2 years old and we haven't had a picture taken since he had just turned one. He really didn't want them taken today but he did a lot better than I thought he would. My husband had to sit him in his lap and let the lady take his pictures. She cropped my husband out of the pics though. She really did a great job working with him and getting some good shots. I got a package and some Christmas cards too since the pics we did today are for Christmas presents. He's so cute in this picture. He's got a big smile on his face. So I'm happy that we took him and finally got another picture done professionally to hang on our wall.

That's so great you got some really good pictures that you're happy with.
I got some taken last week and I know they will be good.
Other wise I haven't had prof. pic/s taken for 3 years. I'm just not that motivated about it when I have to drive an hour one way to get them taken and then in two weeks drive back to pick them up.
My boys are not 6 and 3 and we had a fund raiser with our MOPS group, which is the only reason i did it. The only thing is...if I buy pictures I will buy the $200 package because I get to choose whatever sheets of pictures/poses I want. Other wise if I spend less than that they give me certain sized pictures (and I hate that because I don't want 8x10's). And the lowest pkg. is $120.
So for the money reason I hate buying pictures.

Wow, that's expensive. My husband would kick my butt if I spent that much on pictures. LOL

You can take good pictures at home too that sometimes look like they were taken professionally.

I don't have children, but I can remember how things were when my sister and I were children. My mother would take us to Sears to get our pictures staken once a year for christmas cards, and when we started school she would order the school picture packages that they sold, getting a class picture for our scrap book, and individual pictures to send to family.

i have got a good digital camera which i use to take pictures on regular basis ido try my best to have pictures taken regularly and i have quite a load of monthly pictures of my kids and its more like our family diary my kids love it i tell you,it is interesting to just look at those pictures and we laugh over it,

I always takes photos of my baby everyday and even he is on his funny and messy face. My hubby is worst, he likes taking his sons pictures when he looks funny, crying, messy, and even doing a horrible things. We do taking photos everyday, inside the house and even going to the park and shopping. So now he gots lots of photos on the computer that waiting to print out.He got tons of photos. Happy posting.

When my kids were babies, I got their pictures taken every 3 months because they change in looks so quickly. I did this until they were 2 and then I went to every 6 months~ once in the summer, once in the winter. Then once they hit school, I just get their picture taken with the school pictures, and buy them once a year.

I usually take my kids once a year to get their photos taken. They are both in school now though and the school takes them twice a year. But I do like to take them and get their pictures taken togheter once in awhile. I will probaly have them taken togehter next summer again as it has been awhile since I had them taken with both of them in the picture.

As an infant i had them done about every 3 months, then i did them about every 6 months until he was in preschool at age 3.5, now he just gets them done with school..as they get older they dont change in appearance as often so no need to have them done as often.
