Do you ever find yourself craving a good book. Unfortunately it does not always feel that easy to do anymore. I always feel like theres something around the house waiting for me. I put it off for another time when I think there will not be any distractions and it doesnt happen that way. Or worse, my books pile up and none get read. Lately thats where Im at and I love books but where does the time go. Are you able to just stop and read or do you put it off. I go through phases where I read avidly but when I cant totally relax and wind down Ill put it up, usually stress.
and you?

Yes, I feel the same. The last book I've read, it's an e-book of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I rarely buy books because they're expensive and they're not available where I live. i have to go to the city for it. Usually, I scavenge for second hand books or books that are up for sale.
I spend most of my time now on the Internet looking for some online money-making gigs. I don't know when will I be able to pick up another book again. Plus, there's my daughter who is distraction enough. She would keep sticking her head under my nose whenever I'm reading something.
When I start to read I don't want to stop and I definitely want to have my own pace but I have duties as a mother so I keep getting interrrupted. I doubt if I'd be able to open pages this year....Good luck to you!

aw, know that feeling. My daughters whenever they see the attention going somewhere else they just have to get in a check up on me, lol, so usually distractions like nickjr work--then coffee after they go to bed because by that time im ti-red. Are you a book lover?

I really love to read and I have a line up of books for reading at the moment. But, my schedule does not permit me to finish a book or even open the book at all.
At night I got more exausted and all I can do is to sleep and take extra rest instead of reading before I go to bed as I always do before.
Reading good books really makes my stress away. It really makes me relax.

oh my, I have my books by my nightstand but I really don't try to read in bed because just laying on the bed makes me tired, i just know I'll pass them up more if my books are by the bed.

I really do admire those who can though. My dad was like that finishing Readers Digest front to back before going to bed.

I just recently got back into reading everyday. It has been many years that I got away from it and I just have to make it a habit that I stop and take time for myself to read. I usually save the last 1/2 hour before I go to bed to just curl up with my book. My husband is usually watching tv so instead of joining him in front of the tv I just wrap myself with a blanket on the end of the couch and read. I also make sure that I have my book with me at work so I can read during lunch. Reading is something I do for myself. It relaxes me and releives stress and I think it is something that I need to do just for me.

If I let reading go altogether I really think it would a change a part of me, you know. I hope that never happens because I did let my drawing talents go

i always get cravings to read. its so weird because sometimes i really can not sit there and read a book because i am just not in the mood for reading. but other times i can pick up a book and sit there for like 2 or 3 hours just reading and reading. its so weird i just have to be in the mood to sit down for a long period of time to read a book.

yea, thats exactly how I feel. It must be just calming down your mind because you just cant get into a book if your thinking about 10 other things right. With writing its like that for me too when I really should be writing regardless because they say its more productive to get everything down. I dooo miss my books though, their right on my nightstand staring me in the face. I have Valerie Bertinelli's 'Losing it' and John Tess 'Intelligence for Life', but the ones that go most neglected is my fiction.

Ahhh. Stress isn't good~~ Reading helps me relax, but also sucks up a lot of time. I do get cravings like any other avid reader, that's why I have a couple of books that I'm reading in the house at any one time. XD I think I have three, at the moment...
Generally after sitting in the bathtub before my shower and having read half the book I think hrm, maybe it's time to do other stuff. XD But yeah, sometimes it's hard to stop. But that's the case with going online for me, as well..
