Depression Meds

I was just recently put on meds for generalized depression. I really did not want to be put on meds and it took a while before i finally said I really need something. Even though my son has been on meds for most of his life for bipolar, epilepsy, and adhd, I felt that i did not need to take any meds. I was wondering if anyone else uses celex, and how they do on it for thier depression.

Have you gotten a second opinion? Have you tried psychotherapy? I think it is safe to say that pretty much every body gets depressed. It makes me nervous how easily they want to medicate us all. I understand that some people really do need it, but I would try to avoid it at all costs.

Yeah, this is a second opinion. It is crazy sometimes how some doctors just give meds out like candy. It took me a long time before I finally thought that i really did need to be put on the meds.
