How do you choose your best response and why? Do you pick those who respond along the lines of what you believe? Or those who have a sad story? What makes a Best Response a best response? Thanks!

I choose the best response because it is our duty as the discussion maker. We must give the feed back to whom respond our discussion. So they will know that we're reading their response. I choose the best response for the responder who give the best answer and postitive effect. Keep post happy myLotting...

Thanks for responding. I didn't really think about the duty part of feedback but I do see your point. I don't completely understand what you mean by a positive effect. Do you mean on the discussion as a whole or what? Thanks again.

Hello, I don't usually choose my best response until about 2 months because I'd like to see all the responses I get. In the end I choose someone that has helped me with my problem or well answered my question. I usually choose through the quality of the post and see if they have taken time to reply to my discussion. If it looks like they have, those are the people most likely I would end up giving best response to.

That is very reasonable but I have not waited two months to select usually I wait a week after the last post and select from there. I have had a couple where I only had one response so that always makes it easy because I do try to select a best response for every discussion I start. Thanks for responding.

I tend to go by whose response best answered the questions posed or was worded best. they don't necessarily have to agree with me. but i like when it shows they put a little effort into the response.

Sounds like a good plan and a good way to make the choice. I have to admit that I am one of those people that doesn't like one word post- I want someone to make an effort. Thanks for responding.
