I am choosing Robert Jaworski. Mainly because up to this very moment a lot of people still connects his name with his former team Ginebra.
He was never my favorite while growing up (and when I was uberly crazy about basketball), but I have to pay honor to this guy who seems to influence a lot of players nowadays.

For Filipino basketball player... i think you are right... Roberk Jaworski is the most popular... since he still has a lot of fans... young and old alike... and many would like to use his number...
But for an American basketball player... i think it is Michael Jordan... no has has ever beaten his popularity... and a lot of basketball fans love to see him play all the time... the current popular players are nothing compared to the achievements of Michael Jordan...

Jordan is the name in NBA that will forever be etched. I believe he is not like any young basketball superstars nowadays who are so involved in a number of controversies.
