why do you read or listen to news when....

you know that "no news is good news" then why sit back and watch the tv channels for news. we all know that they make money of it, but why do we watch the news and be gloomy. it seldom happens that you hear a good news on tv.
all they will tell is that our lives are at stake and the governments are doing nothing. ain't this anti-government(most of time) and the media decides what we think, like they decide which news to raise and they will raise those that will help them make more money.
then tell me why should we listen to the news and do you feel the same or you watch the news daily for what?

I guess, news is one of the many forms of what we normally call soap operas. Most of us are quite hooked into watching the dramas being relayed to us TVs.
The thing is the government is so controversial that it captures the attention of the media. Yes, you have a point that sometimes news lately have been very subjective.
News features the side of the reporter (who basically should be objective in many ways, but then, we know that everyone has an opinion to say), and sometimes, relaying the news really depends on how the reporter understands the facts presented to him or her.
We tend to listen or watch at the news because basically we have no time to search on what is happening to the world and to the government. Thus, we can not help but love to hate watching the news.
