what age do you think is to old to trick or treat? my kids are 11 and 13 and still want to do it. some people are telling me they are to old. they love getting dressed up though and going house to house and checking out the other peoples costumes too. i love taking them as well. how old were you when you stopped and at what age will you make your kids stop? i had one lady tell me the other day that if my kids as big as they are came to her house she would tell them no candy. my 11 year old though looks like she is 8 years old but my 13 year old looks 16 lol.

My son went until he was 14. Most people were very nice. I cannot believe that woman said that. Even at their age, they still enjoy kid things.

I have actually known adults to go trick or treating in the past!!! So I can't see there being a set age to be honest! I was never into trick or treating myself even as a child, I didn't like halloween. Mind you it's not so popular in the UK as it is in America I guess. But if your children want to go, why not! I am glad you said you love taking them out because children of any age should be supervised especially in this precarious world! Sad I know but you have to make sure your child is safe especially at night time. Happy Halloween!

I went out till I was 15 or 16, then I started handing out candy at a friend's house. Why should there be a "too old? " I think that Halloween is a great holiday for everyone to have fun and be kids at heart.

I think I was 16 the last time we went. My boyfriend and I and a few friends dressed up. No one seemed to have a problem with it. We lived in a small town though so everyone knew us and didn't mind it. I think that 16 would probably be my cut off for my kids. But as long as they wanted to do it and no one had a problem with it then I'll let them. Why not let them have fun as long as they can?

If there is an age limit it will be 13 years old. But here in our place even old ones join trick or treat. They are the one who guide the little ones on the street while visiting houses. they just hide themselves on their costume.I think the reason is to guide and support the children. They will see the childrens safety. I think trick or treat is for all ages as long as they find it enjoyable.
