I will never grow up...I will never grow up...I will NEVER grow up!

There are certain areas in life in which I refuse to and will never grow up.
One example of this is Halloween. I love trick or treating and though I am to old to go for myself, I love taking my kids and dread the day when they are to old for it and I can no longer go. I also love to dress up in a costume for Halloween and will continue to do this any year I get the chance.
Another example of this is that I enjoy playing dress up will dolls. I no longer own any dolls of course, but I do frequently visit online doll sites where I can dress up and play games with virtual dolls. This is not an activity in which I see myself outgrowing any time soon.
One more example of this is Christmas. I still feel as excited and anxious as I did as a child during this season. I still have trouble falling asleep on Christmas Eve due to anticipation of the following morning. I also still enjoy all the classic Christmas cartoons such as "Rudolph", "Frosty the Snowman", "Santa Clause is Comming to Town", etc.
And just one more example, my favorite part of camping is still roasted marshmellows and s'mores!
So tell me, am I alone or is there anyone else who just refuses to grow up in some areas? Please share.

I think "growing up" is extremely overrated, and I think the entire world would be much more problem-free if it was not drilled into our heads that we need to "grow up" as fast as possible. I remember not too long ago, I couldn't wait to grow up, but now I am into my second year of college, facing money issues, and worrying about the real world and I am wishing I could go back to the days when I played dress up with dolls and watched cartoons.
I do hang on to some of my childishness though! When I go home for Christmas break, my mom and I have a special arrangement where Christmas is still the same as when I was a little kid living at home. We still make cookies together, watch all the old Christmas cartoons, and I even get presents that are addressed to me from "Santa." :) It makes me feel at home and keeps me from feeling too much like I am getting to be a grown up.
