I was in that situation several years ago. I wanted to only be friends, he wanted much more. I was just not phydsically attracted to the guy. He was nice, funny, and everything else, and he spoiled me and my kids. Whatever we even suggested that we wanted, he got us. I ended up cutting off contact because I just could not see myself being intimate with him. I feel that no matter what other qualities there are, if there is no spark, it hust can't be.

I could never just go out with somebody because they wanted to give me material things. To me, that would be taking advantage of somebody's good nature and just using them. I always try to look at something like that as: how would I feel if somebody used me like that? And I know I wouldn't ever like to lead somebody on like that just because of material things. If there's no spark, and I know it's never going to advance into a relationship, then it would be nothing more than using a person...and I could never do that.
