A lot of people are losing their houses due to the economy. At a recent auction of forclosed houses, a lady was sobbing when another woman walked up to her to ask what was wrong. She told her that one of the houses they were auctioning off was hers. She had lost it! The woman talked to her asking her if the house was worth buying. She then went in and bid on the house and bought it. She then turned around and gave it back to the lady that had owned it. How generous! The world needs more people like this wonderful lady. She stated that she had part of the money and would go to the bank to get a loan for the rest. The lady that owned the house intends to eventually pay her back. Would you be so generous to someone that you didn't even know? Would you care enough to help someone that is down and out?

Lol, I don't have the money to do that. A lot of those people whose homes go into foreclosure shouldn't have owned a home in the first place or at least not such a big one. They went in way over their heads. I'm not sure I would want to reward such behavior. Of course there are unforeseen circumstances but an ARMS mortgage is not an excuse.

Of course most of us don't have the funds to help out in such a big way, but I like to think that I would if I could. I agree that some people do get in over their heads, but yet there are also those who truly try and end up losing their jobs or have health problems, etc - circumstances that lead them to lose thier house. Those are the people that need the help. This country is in a world of hurt right now and hopefully with a new president things will get back on the right track. I appreciate your thoughts.

I would like to think that I would do something like that for a person in need. In our area their seems to be a lot of foreclosures going on- my husband and I can't bring ourselves to go to one of these auctions. We don't want any part of someone losing their home/ life.
What a wonderful woman to give back in such way- God has really led her down a wonderful path.

Its nice to know that there are still good people out there willing to help others, especially in these hard times. Thanks for your response.
