I am one that drinks a lot of acoffee. I mean a lot, like 5 pots and more sometimes d aily. So for this purpose we buy generic coffee brands mostly. I get a can at Aldi's for about $4 where as name brands are $7 and higher. But recently the cans seem to have white and light brown specks. Turns out these are pieces of the branches from the coffee plants. Do you buy generic or name brand coffee? Have you ever found leaves or branch bits in your can of coffee? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

We buy Vittoria coffee for our espresso machine, and always start the morning with a cup of this out on our back verandah - but my husband (who makes quite a few cups of coffee during the day) likes a really horrible, cheap, no-name powdered coffee which is SO finely powdered it goes straight up your nose when you open the container and makes you choke! It's quite disgusting - smells foul and bitter and I have no idea why he prefers it to Nescafe or other nice instant coffee. My son refuses to drink it, so I buy Nescafe for him.

I do hope you got your money back for such nasty coffee, it should have been tested before it left the factory something tells me it wasn't inspected that is for sure.

I have basically quit drinking coffee...but had never found a brand in mine when I did buy it! LOL....maybe you should feed it to your trees so they won't be bald? LOL

I do not know if you have Kroger grocery stores near you or not, but their brand of coffee is pretty good. It is cheaper than the national brands, like Folgers & Maxwell House and much less expensive than premium brands like Starbucks, etc. You might want to try your local grocery store's brand.

Thats a lot of coffee you drink...I myself am not a coffee drinker. I know it can be expensive tho, my mom drinks it and I see how much she spends on it. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that in coffee, thats wierd.

One of my husband's friends' wives owns a coffee shop where she sells those expensive mixes. He told my husband that the ones you buy in the store that say "special blend" or something similar actually include the sweepings from the floor where the coffee is being processed, so there's no telling what's in there. I'm sure he was exaggerating, but I try to avoid those cheaper blends. I like Aldis, but haven't tried their coffees. At that price, it would be worth a try.

I buy cheap coffee...I try not to go too cheap because can't stand horrid coffee. For me having my cup of coffee is one of the things I treasure in life, I have given up a ton of things so that we can pay bills and rent, but I won't give up a good cup of coffee.

I am picky about my coffee and have cut down to a few cups in the morning in order to enjoy the kind I like. The Kroger I shop at also gave me coupons for free Kroger coffee so I have a couple of those, too, although I'm saving them for emergencies.

I drink several pots of coffee a day. We usually buy whatever is on sale. Often this is Master Blend and i swear it tastes just like Maxwell House. My favorite is Folgers but if it isn't on sale i don't get it!

We usually by a name brand, but not the high price ones. But the last 3 or 4 packs has been Piggly Wiggly's store brand. My husband says it's as good as Maxwell House or any of the others he has used. I don't worry about it myself since I quit drinking coffee in June 2007. Haven't even had one sip since then.

i've got my wonderful shop 'Farewell Africa' where i find my fresh coffe natural in beans, i'm suspicious of any artificial instant coffees or most of them sold in hipermarkets, there's only one shelf in my local supermarket that sells reliable coffee marked with 'Fairtrade', they are really good products supporting the growth of the Third World Countries, especially Bolivia, my favourite shop 'Farewell africa' also supports Bolivia and the like

i quit drinking coffee for over a year now. i used to drink 2 - 3 mugs of coffee daily. i don't buy generic brands even though they cost less than branded ones. i once bought a generic brand of coffee and i don't like the taste of it. i just made a cup and it went to the trashcan.

My husband drinks a ton of coffee we go through 7-8 jars of coffee a month and that is 8-12 ounce jars. I have tried to buy generic coffee and my husband refuses to drink it because he says he can't stand the taste. It has to be his brand of Maxwell House coffee or it gets tossed or given away. I have tried other brands but nothing worked even tried mixing them with the Maxwell house but he won't drink it. I did buy some generic instant coffee and it wouldn't dissolve and floated on top and I had bought like 6 jars of it. It was a waste of money. I never bought that brand again it was a brand called McDaniel's from Save-a-lot. My husband lives on coffee I think without it he wouldn't be able to function in the morning. It takes about 3 pots just to get his eyes uncrossed and open in the morning.

No I buy brand name coffee. I buy Folgers. That is the only coffee my husband likes. We drink a lot of coffee at our house. Between my husband, me and my two sons and sometimes my grandson that is 9 years drinks coffee at times to, we go through a large 39 oz can in a month.

We drink alot of coffee also..We always buy Folgers if it is just regular it is like 5 bucks but it can be as much as 10 bucks a can... Now about the speck thing..can't say that I have found any of that in my cans of coffee...I do grind up coffee beans that we have in bags around here and they turn out great..
