Cut my own hair. hahaha

So last night I got fed up with my hair and chopped some off. Over all it didn't look too bad but I messed up when I tried doing layers. That's what looked bad. I went today to the salon so they could fix it. I told the lady I tried a DIY with my hair and that I needed her to fix it. She said "Oh, honey, I get this all the time!" She did a pretty good job considering I messed it up pretty bad. Have you ever done this? If so, how bad did you mess it up? Was the barber able to fix it?

I always cut my own hair, I haven't been to a hairdressers for years, I have never been happy with what hairdressers do with my hair infact when i went once to get a trial style done when i was going to be a bridesmaid a young girl working there whispered to me that she liked my hair better the way it was when i worked in.

I have long rather straight hair so I just trim a little at the back every now and then and just cut a few shorter bits in the front in particular parts that I highlight and then its a case of hot rodding a little every morning...

I got really depressed one time and was in a "I don't care anymore" funk. A friend thought I needed a little pampering and a haircut. Of course I didn't care, so she took it upon her own shoulders to cut it for me. It was terrible. I really didn't care for a few days but after running into some very honest friends I decided I needed to do an emergency intervention which I did on the morning of my 2 daughters birthday party. Good thing to. I got alot of compliments on my new do, but I'm not sure I would have if I had left it. And the really akward part came when I had to explain to the "friend" who cut it why I had it re-cut. Soooooo, I won't be doing that anymore....will you? :-)
