Ostentatious Robbery - and Yet Police Can't Find Them???

Maybe this is the ultimate "hiding in plain site" story. I don't know. A man robbed a bank in Irving, Texas and is still on the lam. Even though police got a good description of the vehicle, they have been unable to locate it. Here's the thing - it's not like it "blends" well with the surrounding scenery. Check out the story: http://cbs3.com/watercooler/limo.bank.robbery.2.849275.html I mean - did he miss a payment on the thing?? It's not like it's made quick getaways or anything. So, wouldn't something like this hauling @ss down the road and around the corner be something people might just take notice of? I can only say that this guy has brass ones. What do you think?

Let's hope. I would think it would be fairly easy to narrow down the sources of limos.

Yeah - let's spend the money BEFORE we steal it, OK? LOL But, I suspect they either own the thing or are related to someone who does and pulled the job maybe while they were supposed to be actually transporting customers and that's their cover. Hopefully, they'll be caught.

A robbery in a limo, they got away, still pretty baffled bout that! They probably had a doorman, the driver and everything! They should of just had a stretch hummer, went all out:) Taripre$

I wonder what the cops were really doing when the call came in??? This is the most bizarre story I've heard in a while. I hope there are some follow up stories. I'll be real interested to see what excuses will given for no leads, no looks, no follows LOL

It will be interesting, to say the least. You're down that way, aren't you? Or am I remembering that way wrong? If I'm right, you'll probably see something long before I do.

Oops. Hard to remember sometimes everything you've seen and where you saw it.

Maybe it was someone getting some money for prom, it is that time of year. hahaha I agree, it would stand out like a sore thumb speeding away and trying to get through traffic and making the turns unless it is a normal driver and he knows how to handle the vehicle.

Maybe homecoming?? LOL I know - something like that making a fast getaway HAD to have been noticed by someone!! I only hope that after the story hit the papers, people remember seeing the larcenous limo leaving the scene!

HI jerz! I think that it is quite the clever heist! Who would have thought of something that clever? It is rather a cool robbery! Hiring a limo and driver to wait for you while you rob a bank! Pretty smart! It is hiding in plain site! Even if they got the plates, they probably were fake and changed so then what! A black limo? Duh? I'm sure it was the only one in town? I think that they won't find the car, but how about was the money marked, was the video tape any help? They didn't say anything about those clues?

It'd be nice to come across a follow up to the story. I read these things and then I don't know how they turned out.
