Is your best friend realy your best friend

For the purpose of clarity, I would like to rephase the statement. "what makes your best friend to be called as your real bestfriend?" is it because you and him/her are always together or is it because you have known each other for so long? As a best friend are you willing to give your life to your best friend?" my opinion is, being best friends for so long contributes to the strength of friendship. Given also consideration the trials that you have struggled together. Basically a best friend is always there and will always willing to help at all times. Vice versa I suppose
