It seems many liberals want to pin the label of warmonger on John McCain and other prominent conservatives nowadays, but is that a valid label in the light of history?
Apparantly former Senator John Glenn didn't think so. Read John opinion at:http://www.mdwfp.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=26788
After reading this, what is your opinion about presidents starting "pre-emptive"wars, and which party has been most willing to do so?

So it seems that most of the Democrats were warmongers. I guess it proves what I said all along. The Democrats can away with things, but the Republicans can't. Talk about a double standard and I only thought they were between men and women.

It seems that the Republicans are getting blamed and the Democrats getting a free ride. I mean there is this push to accuse the Bush administration of war crimes, and blame them for the war. I guess the Democrats would have blamed 911 on Bush, as well. It is a double standard. It is patriotic when the Democratic president goes to war, but it is oppression when the Republican president goes to war. It is not fair. Thanks for the best response.

Double standards are everywhere, between genders, races, political parties and
religions to name a few. I think conservatives are supposed to have high standards so the liberals are always calling them on something to try and make them look bad. The standards supported by liberals aren't that great anyway so they just let a lot of their faults go by without mention. Another word for double standard is hypocricy.

I read it. It was great. I'm going to do some research so I can get some acceptable references for our friend.

I already checked out Truman/Korea and JFK/Vietnam, Roosevelt/WWII and the rest of them are well known. Thanks for your input.

You're quoting a forum post which quotes an anonymous (likely chain) e-mail.
Really? That's good enough for you?

Snopes gave its nod to the information, and history speaks for itself, so yes, I thought it was worth posting.
