From your country, town, village, state or a good haunting story of your home or something else of interest. There are many stories from this area in Oklahoma one story on the Red river when I lived there was of a river monster that came out during the night attacking cattle, horses and even fishermen. They all disappeared in the river from whatever the presence was that attacked or just from fear of what was thought to be out there. There have been odd trail markings through the woods and grass with unidentified tracks and drag marks into the waters. The red murky river could hide the monsters presense easily. Many fishermen have come back to run there trotlines only to find that the lines had been destoyed, with rare skin or scales all that was left on some hooks. Othertimes I was fishing in the dark with the largest surf rod for fishing in rivers and actually had the pole tied to a rock only to have the whole thing disappear in dark river water. I always put it off as a really big catfish or could it have been something else. This river has alot of air boats have you ever heard of that kind of boat bottoming out or overturning it has happened at this particular area below the old tow bridge that was destroyed decades maybe a century ago by a fire so I've heard. It is just up the river from the old colbert ferry crossing back in cotton and slave days. This place could be haunted, a myth or maybe something more to this river monster. Because late at night with a slight glow of the moon refecting across the river and through the old tollbridge piers. you can always see something unexplainable and frightening. Then the sounds of the water splashing the river banks, wind blowing through the trees rustling of leaves and then this bone chilling unnatural sound of what must be the river monster.

Just outside my hometown is this large mushroom shaped rock. It has been given the name "Devil's Rock". The legend is that hundreds of years ago, the Devil was captured and chained to this rock. He became so angry and being chained that he ran round and round the rock, but could not free himself. This, he wore the rock away, thus giving it it's unusual shape, and it's name.
