OK there is the thing. My roommate got laid off and my sone turned 18 and I got laid off to second shift which pay's more by .25 a hour,. But I lost my riders and that was $160.00 a month and $800.00 for my roommate and son. So I got stuck with it all.I have been trying my best and they just keep calling and bugging me knowing that I can't pay and no I don't want to file bankruptcy as I made them I will pay them. I just need time to catch up. With out going crazy. So how do I get them to stop calling? And being rude when I can't pay? Please help at witts end.

Yesterday was the first time in my life that a creditor called me. I was laid off from my job four months ago. I am receiving unemployment, but it is $900.00 less than what I was making. I did okay for the first three months, all bills were paid. Last month I started struggling, because all of my savings is gone. I did not make the minimum payment on one bill, but paid what I could. The woman called yesterday, and asked when was I going to pay it, and if I wanted to set up a payment plan. I basically told her a payment plan would not work because I just do not have the money. She said she understood, but she was just doing her job, which I can appreciate. She also said that the calls would not stop, and that I would get a call at least every five days. I have caller ID, and will just ignore the calls, I do not have the money, and it does not matter how many times they call because that is not going to put the money in my hands. There is no way you can make them stop calling you, unless you pay the debt, so your best bet is to ignore their calls. I told the lady that called me, that I made a partial payment to show good faith, but they do not care about that, they want it all, even if you do not have it. Good luck

Thank you very much as I'm at my witts end. It is just no matter what you say to them they are like lets make some kind of payment. Well, now I just laughed at one and I said I'm sorry it is that or cry. Now I'm going to cancell all my credit cards and what ever happens happens. It's not like I'm going to buy a house ever again. I told them once come get it. I'll move trust me you want me to stay. But I'm just getting sick of it all. A payment plan is a joke to me now as I have a lot of other things on a payment plan. I don't belive this happened to me.

Yeah, it feels like a dream, I can not believe that I am in this situation. I never would have thought this would happen to me.

Mine have gotten a little better on that but not much. I told one well now you was on the top of my pile for next week but since your so rude your going back down to the bottem. They didn't like that one at all. I didn't care after I hung up I had me a good laugh for once. and not a cry. So the best of luck to you as well, as I know it must be really hard for you. Have a blessed day. Your friend onlydia

I have the bill collectors calling me every single day. A lot of them have just the phone number display so I went to a website called www.whocalled.us to look up the phone numbers so at least I know which bill collectors I am ignoring! But seriously, we keep getting phone calls constantly. My husband had been on unemployment and we went through what little savings we had a while ago. We got behind on everything and now it is like this big snowball effect that is finally catching up to us major time. I don't answer the calls because all these people do is threaten us, ask for money when we tell them there is no money, and all it ends up doing is just upsetting us further. If we had the money we would be making our payments, you know? We are responsible people but times are tough and we need to eat and have electricity and gas for the cars. Bill collectors don't care about us, we are just another name on a list, and if they can squeeze out that last little penny from us and we starve then that is just fine by them. Are you worried about being rude to them or them being rude to you? They are never going to be nice. That is just a fact of life. Hang in there, do what we do and ignore the harrassing phone calls and just keep working and paying what you can. If they don't like it then tough. And maybe, just maybe they might lose their jobs and find themselves in the same situation you and I are in now. Hang in there, ignore the calls for your own sanity and just keep on keeping on! Have a nice day and happy myLotting!!!

Thank you and thank you and I hope you had a wonderful time with your kids last night. TRICK OR TREATING. I hve tried to ignore them. But after a while I have to answer the phone. Thenof course I wish I hadn't but that is not here or there. We both will be on the right track soon. Your friend onlydia. Thumbs up.
