My mom may have a brain tumor!

She went to the eye doctor because her eyeball was rolling back up under the eyelid, and more of the white is showing than is normal. The eye doctor said it's either a tumor, a thyroid problem, an anuersym, or caused by serious sinus problems. She has been having terrible sinus issues this year. The doc said they could be inflamed and swollen, pushing on the eye muscles. We are sure hoping it is a sinus or thyroid problem. Something that is easily fixed. Even sinus surgery would be better than a brain tumor. I lost my dad to brain cancer in March, I don't want to lose my mom too!

I hope it's not a tumor either! I know I'll be a nervous wreck until she has the MRI. I can't imagine what she's going through.

Don't know yet. She goes to the doctor at 1pm today, so that's still a few hours away. She is hoping they can set the MRI up for Monday when her husband is off work.

Hello sunnflr. I hope that your mom's health is resolved soon. Yes, it sounds like a sinus or thyroid problem would be the least severe of those discussed. Plus, if she's been having sinus problems, I'm hopeful that that is the root of the problem. Hang in there, sunny.

Thank you. I really appreciate the prayers. I know the odds would have to be pretty high of having two parents with brain tumors, and I sure hope it doesn't happen.

I know it is difficult not knowing what the cause of your mother's problem is. Try not to stress out, think that it is the lesser of the evils. The unknown can always be scary. I will pray for you and your mother, and since you said that she has been having sinus issues, this could probably be something related to that. I am wishing you and your mother well, and of course will continue to pray for her.

Thank you. I'm trying to stay positive. If she hadn't been having sinus problems I'd be even more worried.

I am sorry to hear this about your mother. I pray that is something that the doctors can fix. I also pray that your mother will be here many more years with you and your family. Keep me updated on her condition. I have you and your family in my prayers. Keep the faith.

Oh my I am sorry I did not see this post before. I am so sorry! Have you told any of the members of the writers forum? Please God, let it be just her sinuses or thyroid. Thyroid is bad enough but not nearly as bad as a brain tumor. I will pray for you and your mom and please keep us all posted. I'm sorry about your dad too and with his birthday coming up, I know it won't be easy. Hang in there, girl, we are all here for you.

Oh!! sorry to hear that. Hope everything will be alright with your mom. It is not an easy thing when someone is sick in the family. I just wonder what are some of the causes of this kind of sickness? Is it just by chance that a person acquires such ailment? Well, God is the only source of help in everything. Home your mom sill be fine.
