I am sure you all are aware of the economic crisis that is going on around the world today, with the US being the focus point. Prices of stocks and properties goes down, prices of goods go up. Interest rates go up. Businesses slowing down. Oil prices go up. So on, and so forth. The typical investor will be affected by the fear of losing money and start selling stocks. However, the smart investor should see this as an opportunity to purchase stocks and properties at a very low price, and will make big profits once the market rebounds and goes up again. Yes, there will be recession, but the market will rebound without a doubt. It has happened before and we should start to recognize the pattern here. To the unit trust investors, I do suggest that you guys stay invested, and continue to invest on a regular basis and practice averaging for strong long term returns. You are supposed to sell when its high, not when its low, like it is at the moment. At the moment, what you need to focus on is, to buy more and more units. Do leave a comment regarding your insights on this.

On the whole I agree with your assessment. I would caution investors to take their time and do their research before jumping into an investment right now. The markets will take months to turn around, so there is no reason to rush in.

yes this is the perfect time. however, we are not yet out of the crisis so stocks has a possibility of crashing, if you invest make sure you are going to companies that are not likely going to die off. many people now who has been saving smartly are looking at houses now that many of them are in the market and can bargain houses down to 50%. in the long run investments in stock is a good asset
