Do you use goggles when trimming the garden?

I recently started wearing goggles while string trimming. (Because a piece of wood hit me in the eye. My eye was very painful and irritated for two days.)

Foremost, I have to admit that I lack the opportunity to have a garden in our current residence primarily because up to now, we still don't have our own house and we are only renting a house here in the city. Also, it's quite unfortunate that the house we have chosen is fully cemented without any soiled ground where I could possibly plant. But ideally, having a garden in our own house is already in the plan. It would consist mainly of potted plants including flowering ones and herbal or medicinal ones. Aside from this, I'm thinking of planting some veggies at the back of the house. Regarding your query and topic of this discussion, I guess wearing goggles when trimming is a great way to prevent any splinters or small particles from getting into your eyes and normally hurting them or doing great damage to them; just like what happened to you. I think I'm going to do just like you did when we finally have our garden in our very own house. Anyway, happy gardening and take a bunch of care!
