This may seem far fetched, but it seems to me that the left liberal media and political machine is afraid of Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber.Does anyone know why that these two seemingly harmless people strike so much fear in the people on the left.I don't get it,they seem like nice folks to me.How about, those on the right, and those on the left, what is so scary about these two.

I guess i dont get that the left is really "afraid" of them. They seem more like desperation acts from a Republican party that's seeing the election slip away.
The controversy of Palin, this gimmicky 'Joe the Plumber', the character assassinations of Obama that are borderline-ridiculous (that he's a Terrorist, Muslim, Socialist, Marxist). I'm half-expecting Sean Hannity to headline FOX news with an 'Obama eats babies' report sometime this week ;)
The only thing 'scary' about Palin is how someone so incompetant got that far up into the US Government. She's set female politicians back 50 yrs, which is a shame b/c we could use more women in government.

Having a woman like Senator Clinton who moved to to one of the most liberal states (New York State) to run for the Senate when she was born in Illinois and spent a good part of her adult life in Arkansas both of which had senate races in the near future. This a woman who claimed her living with the president made her qualified to be president.
Gov. Palin is scary to the Democrats because she has done everything they say a woman should do except she does not have the liberal views. She did not go to the liberal schools, she does not reject traditional values and the biggest sins are that she does not support abortion and she is in favor of traditional marriage between a man and a woman.
The problem with Senator Obama is his associations with people then he claims that this is not the Rev. Wright I knew for 20 years. Bill Ayers kids and my kids went to the same school to we sat on a board together. Now we are finding out that Senator Obama helped promote a book that Bill Ayers wrote. There is a tape that the LA Times will not release that reportly shows Senator Obama giving a toast to the former spokesman for the PLO and Bill Ayers is at the party.
Now the supporters and media friends of Senator Obama can find old beauty pageant tapes of Gov Palin but can not find out anything about Senator Obama or if they do they suppress it. What we know about Senator Obama's background is what he told us in his books. Why can;'t the press dig and find out more about him - because he is their candidate and Gov. Palin is a threat to his becoming the next President.

The left isn't scared they are terrified of them. Those two have done what the media and other politicians won't do. The have exposed the left as frauds. Look at the Democrats and you will see someone who has devoted their life to political office. For many of them they have had jobs that are considered a political stepping stone. Gov. Palin is a real thorn in their side. She is everything they want a super woman to be except she has Conservative views and she has a life outside of politics. When she speaks or Joe the Plumber speaks you can understand them, none of the political double speak.

um...I think that EVERYONE is scared right now. Specific people just become figureheads.
Noticed a growing mob-like, grab-your-pitchforks...mentality among all the crowds lately?
Yeaaah. Crazy times.

Why should anyone be scared of them? I've never looked at it as the left being scared of them, any more than the right being scared of Obama. A case could be made for both, but I think fear is a very small factor. I do know, however, that some people do care who will be taking the seat as Vice President, and a number of people feel that Palin is definitely not right for the job. I'm one of them. They don't like her policies or the way she does things.
Oh, and by the way, Palin is anything but "seemingly harmless". Anyone in a position of power in our government has great potential to do a lot of harm. That's why people are concerned about her.
As for Joe the Plumber, I don't know what the big deal is. So some average Joe got enough air time to ask a few stupid questions. The same thing happened in the YouTube debates and no one made a big deal out of it.

They are unknowns and everyone doesn't know what to expect from them, so they are automatically afraid. When they're dealing with politicians that have been in the public eye for years, they know what to expect.
