i was dumbfounded earlier, being asked if i will go for a job that pays less but with a higher designation. hahhahahahha... i won't for my life what would i do with the title if it is not enough to feed me... LOL. that was my answer with a smiley at the end. how about you, would you dare?

hi friend. i have been there, higher designation, lower pay. hehehehe...
i was happy with my job then maybe that's why i stayed for quite a long time in that job. pay wasnt an issue for me. passion is what drives me. but things change. time for me to move on and look for other opportunities. thank God i found a high paying job and not in a position. i was happier than before.

hi friend, i agree when you get fulfillment in a job you doesn't mind getting a low pay for it as long as you are happy. great that you found a job that offers you high pay with less responsibilities that you used to have. Have a great night friend!!!

Well it depends to me on certain catregories ? Well if it a nice designation . i wouldnt mind. And after some time i would leave that company with that higher deisgnation in my hand and would join a new company . That would be a great new upboost on my carrier . Well anyways i am really looking forward to this becasue i know in the end i would only benefit. Well thats what i would think but then its ok . Anyways happy mylotting and ncie discussion buddy :)_

It all depends really. If the lower salary still allows me to live effectively and there are future benefits in taking this role that will eventually address the financial shortfall then I would seriously consider it. I have taken massive paycuts before to enter a new industry or to take on a role with more responsibilit with other companies before and although it can be a tough run at first, things do tend to work out in the end! The key is to ensure that you are able to survive on the new salary. If you can do so effectively then I would look at this very seriously. A higher designation with this particular company may also increase your future job prospects as well. Good luck!

no i will not accept the job. but i do charity works (don't accept money). well it's not about the money for me but to help others who are helpless with out me. but if where talking about a job that could make your boss richer and still you are sinking in the sand coz he is not paying you so well... no thank you.

Designation can be created by the companies at will. Your boss can give you a new designation especially if your company is not a big or publicly listed company. So what if you're a Chief IT Officer? It doesn't mean a thing if your company has only 2 employees - the CEO and you.
And higher designation can be quite subjective. The important thing is the job description and the job scope. If you go for an interview, people might see your designation at first but in the end will still ask you about your job experience and job scope.
That's why you should look at job scope, job description and salary. Forget about designation. It's just something to boost your level of confidence and maybe to be glamorous for 5 minutes.

I think if it pays so less that even I can't feed me,then I won't go for this job,but if it a chance, then I am happy to accept, though the pay is little.

of course not!!! in our present economy now? most people are not after of the title, what they want is a good salary to feed themselves and their family. But as I think about what you said, it is very impossible to have high designation as what you said but low pay? that's quite amazing... is there anything like that? most often when you are given high designation you also receive high pay? right!!! I can't understand why there is something like that. haahahahaha

hi friend, in our country we still have those companies that they give you a high title but the pay is not that promising. though it may have an advantage and other's are not bothered about it for they are happy with the job. thanks for the post friend. :)
