I am seriouly to tell you that just walking could also help to lose weight, even very effectively. That's from my own experience. I became overweight after a long term project because I almost sit there all day long and had not enought time for workout. so too much fat accumulated. When that project was completed, I had to find some method to lose weight, however, I don't like gym. So, I began to have a walk after dinner every day. I mean, long time walking at a certain frequency to make it as a . After about one month's walking, I was so surprised to find that I had lost almost 10kg! that's really amazing! I sitcked to that for another month, and my weight returned to the normal region again. Couple of days ago, I bought a So, Calorine Step Counter, and it could monitor and record how many steps I have walked every day and how much calorine I have consumed. I could make sure if my walking is a kind of aerobic exercise. you can also give it a try!

I do not have the time to sit down. I am so active, going here and there, doing this and that and this keeps me from gaining weight. Some of my friends like to walk for hours and I find it such a luxury because I have so many things to do. Cheers!!

i agree that walking could help you lose weight without having to diet. this past summer, i got a flyer job. i had to deliver flyers for 10 hours a week. this means that i was walking 10 hours a week. i didn't diet at all. i still ate cheeseburgers, pizza, chocolate, and whatever else i wanted. by the end of the summer i had lost 20 pounds. i thought it was totally amazing.

ya, absolutely! it seems you've also experienced this magic way. it does works for losing weight even without having a diet. I am also very surprised about its amazing consequence. Now, I can say confidently that walking has a pretty good effect on losing weight. At the same time, this kind of aerobic exercise does benefit our health. Have a nice day!

walking - walking on the footstairs
i do agree with you that walking will reduce the weight, i personally experienced it myself too but if you walk before the meals then it wont help you that much, it should only be done after the meals. i'have seen many people who go for early morning walk but most of them never put down the weight that's because they eat more may be twice of what they normally consume, so it would be better if u control the food habits too when you want to put down the weight

I did lose alomost 10 kg in a month just by walking. Just as what I said, the walking here means long time walking with a certain step frequency to make it as a kind of aerobic exercise. I usually walk about 40 minutes every day. I don't want a too fast losing weight because I think it may go up again if I stop doing that. Walking might be a little slower than surgery or diet or medicine, but aerobic exercise benefits our health, and helps to lose weight as well. have a nice day!

I don't like walking, because it waste to much time. I would rather take running instead. I used to run every night about one year ago. But later I give it up because I could not keep it on.

I agree that it is a good way to lose weight. I used to go walking after dinner with my father when i was in senior high school, and my weight keeps in the normal region. Unfortunately, my weight is getting on after i enter to work.I almost sit before the computer while i am working. I have tried many ways to lose weight, like diet, but that doesn't work. I like eating different kinds of food. Therefore, I bought a treadmill last week. I can not only run but also walk on it every day. I feel great when i am wet with sweat after i have done the exercise. Actually, I also like walking outside, but my friend does not like it. So i cannot stick with walking outside alone. Right now I can walk inside, hope that I can also lose my weight.

That sounds quite good. Especially to the lazy people like me, waling after dinner is much easier than go to the gym. One more method is written in my "MAJOR PROKECT-LOSING WEIGHT" Thank you~~^^

I have an old counter that I got out of a Kelloge Special K package, but it is not that good, so I plan to get a better pedomoeter. When there is no snow on the ground, I can walk fast to the Mall or to the stores, but when it is winter, I have a bit of a problem because the ice and the snow slows me down and there is not that many lawns with snow on them down the main streets. I do much of my walking in my house and this way I can get an idea about how much walking I do in winter.

That sounds a great idea, but many people don't insist on it.Instead of watching TV or getting on the internet, they don't walk if they are free.SO it's a difficut problem to lose weight.

hello maximus,You mean Calories, right? I agree with you and the idea of walking really helps you not just loose weight but be able to explore places in your neighborhood. i usually walked between two to three kilometers every morning but every since i got back from mylot, i seldom do it because i end up sleeping late in the morning. THUS, i wake up already late in the afternoon. I used to walk on my own tread mill but unfortunately i rarely do it in the afternoon.

I don't like walking. I kind of feel it is boring. Instead, I am fond of swimming, playing basketball and working out in the gym.
