I was looking at the sample voting form for the presidential election and I would like to know what happens if under the "write in" choice I was to write Hillary Clinton for example as my choice!! Would she get actually be in the count or what happens to my vote?? Anyone know?

I'm not positive, but pretty sure your vote would be counted, but more or less a throw away vote, same as voting for an Independent at this point. So your vote could end up meaningless -- or it could be in effect, a vote for either McCain or Obama by NOT being a vote for one of them -- does that make sense?

Not sure as it would only be one less vote for Obama but as it would be for a demo. they might count it for him!

They would count it as a vote for Hillary Clinton. As she is no longer running however it would be like just casting a blank ballot since she can't hope to get enough votes to win. Better to cast your vote to one of the running candidates and to vote on your local issues.

I'd write my own name in the box, and urge others to vote for me, too. Obvously, being English, I can't become president, so on second thoughts - how about Queen Elizabeth II. Let's put 232 years of bickering behind us. Go on, you know you want to.

They let you do that but of coursee, they have no way of winning. They are at this point, the under dogs. I dont know why they do that because the electorials are pulling off the main decision anyway. lol Its another weird political thing.
