Can i brown meat(venison noisettes) in advance?

i'm cooking venison noisettes. i'm planning on doing them in the oven in a tray with onions, garlic and red wine. i presume i should brown them 1st...can i do this in advance,cool. put in fridge with all the gubbings all prepared then stick in the oven this evening? also how long will they need in the oven?40 mins? an hour? feel free to suggest an alternative way to cook them:)
