What makes you wake up in the middle of the night!!!

Hi there mylotters. I just wondering what makes you wake up in the middele of the night. I hate our neighborhoods dog. I think it always bark like an hour or so, and wakes me on my sleep, then I cant sleep anymore. Do you have the same problem like mine? Or there are some other things that wakes you up in your sleep?

can i sleep at your house? it sounds like a peaceful place hahaha. last night the dogs are noisy again. but i think i will just have to ignore them and sleep. so ican say i wake up in the middle of the night to feed my son. thanks for visiting my discussion hope to see more of you around. have a nice day.

well, its not as peaceful as everyone thought. we're near the street so i can still hear cars and other vehicles passing by. but in the evening, its very seldom. i kinda have this selective hearing where i only hear what i want to hear (haha!). that's how i can get a good night's rest.... see you around! there are motorcycles who has loud engines, that is one of the reason why i wake up in the middle of the night. kapag may ipis har har har. i cant sleep without cathching it. when i need to pee is one more thing or if i need to drink. and one good reason is when my son starts to cry if he needs milk or if he needs to pee too.

what a cool dad you are. you wake up to let your son pee. that is so sweet, though you dont look like a sweet person hahaha, you look like an ogre hahaha. sorry for that. i had a good laugh. but lucky for your wife that you do this small but cool task. thanks for dropping by at my discussion.

During summer, the chirping of the birds will always wake me up like 1 am or 2 am...LOL! and I enjoy listening to them...not a common sounds when I was still in the Philippines.LOL!
But, this fall and winter , due to the weather, I always sleep straight![/i]

Hi there checapricorn. I think you have a nice place out there, hearing the birds in the middle of night. Me, at winter I usually wake up because my feet is cold. I have to get out of the bed and turn on the heater again. And yes I always have a nice straight sleep when its fall or winter. Happy day to you.

One thing that wakes me up int he middle of the night is my kids, when I feel for them and there is unusual feel, like they are wet or cold, I wake up and give something to them, another one is my youngest baby who still nurse from time to time..

yes..the bad dreams would wak me up in the mid night times...sometime if my mind have so burden..i will wak up in the mid night times..if someone not feeling well..if i care much about her or him..i will wake up in the mid night..if i had enough amount of sleep in the day time ..i will wake up in the mid night times..if i had fever i will wake up in the mid night times..these are few reason for that..sometimes without any reason i may wake up..lol...have a nice time with mylot..

good for you that you can wake up in the middle of a bad dream. my mom alwayssay that i hsoud drink a lot of water before i go to sleep so i will wake up in the middle of the night so i wont be in to much sleep and dont dream about something bad. thanks for giving time to response. have a nice day

hi, koikoikeiji!
i wake and get up in the middle of the night if i have to pee. also, when it gets too hot. then i have to get up and adjust the airconditioner. without aircon or at least an electric fan, i have trouble sleeping. luckily we have no noisy neighbor's dog :-)

I will wakes up when i have a bad dreams.......... it may be a ghost,or felling from the mountain etc in all i am in danger and i woke before the climax of my dream, and it will be interesting in the morning to think about the dream.

Hi Koikoikeiji!! I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night because I have to go to the toilet or because the temperature is so hot. It's so rarely for me to wake up in the middle of the night because of the noise cause I usually fall asleep when I've been so tired. So things like that wouldn't disturb me.

Hi koiko'..fortunatley when I go to sleep I just sleep and nothing wakes me!! I think if world war three started when I was asleep I would know nothing about it LOL...littleowl

For me, it is due to a lot of reason. It may be due to external, like people playing basketball in the middle of the night. It might be because of, like someone mentioned, nature call.
However, it may be due to insomnia, and one of the causes of the insomnia is depression. Do check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insomnia for more details of the different types of insomnia, for example; onset insomnia, middle-of-the-night insomnia, middle insomnia and terminal insomnia. There are many causes for insomnia so you can read more about it too. =)
