Do You Pay Attention to Fashion Trends?

Do you pay attention to fashion trends? Why or why not? Do you even notice them?
A friend pointed out to my last week that a lot of times, trends, are just what celebrities and the big designers are doing; so would you still "copy"?
Do you think you would be noticed because you're in the latest fashion trends, or because you're not?

I'm not really keen on the fashion trends, I don't follow them so to speak. But sometimes, you have no choice because it seems like the department stores do follow some of these trends thus the styles of clothing they do have in store is much like how the trend is.
But personally, I don't see trends as important. These just come and go and what simply matters is if you look good in them or not. If not, why force the fashion into you? I dress to dress looking good and comfortable with it, regardless if it's in line with the fashion trends or not.

Nicely said! :) I guess trends have different values in different people.
Sometimes when I'm at the mall, and a new trend comes up, I'll just ignore it. But the more I ignore it, the more I see it, and I'll just end giving up resisting the trend and get it. :P
