If you had to pick one person who is the closest to you in the world, who

That would definitely have to be my mum, she is the closest person to me in the world, she is the one I always turn to for advice, support, friendship and love, she respects me, puts up with me and that is not easy! Anyone to live with me and puts up with me needs a medal. She was there when my relationship went badly wrong and was quick to put a roof over my head. She means the world to me and I try hard not to take her for granted, she is my rock, my inspiration and at my most darkest, blackest moments of life my reason for living.

The person closest to me is my best friend Dawn. We were both born in 1972, and have known each other since about 1977. A friendship for over 30 years for people in their 30's I think is rather impressive. Dawn and I grew up in the same neighbourhood in Toronto, went to most of the same schools, and were the best of friends most of the time. As adults, even though we live 3 hrs apart from each other, we talk on the phone daily. I feel that Dawn is the closest person in the world to me above all others, because we've known each other for so long, that we know each other "inside and out", as the saying goes.

My husband! Not even anyone comes close! We have one thing that I don't have with anyone else to this degree: History! God has seen us through the still birth of our first child, many, many moves, raising 2 great kids, sicknesses, heartaches,and so many personal things that I can't even share here. He's my best friend and the most wonderful man in the world. No one "gets me" like he does.
