How Do You Measure Success?

How do you measure success? I think that I used to measure success by money, but as I get older I realize that money is not everything. I have been working on a body of work to leave my children. I think that if I can get some of it published, that would be a legacy. But I also realize that some of it is just self indulgent dribble. My ultimate measure is how I'm remembered. It will be hard to figure out if I'm really successful, but then again I only have myself to blame.
