Do you think there is a generation gap between u and your parents or your kids sometimes? When your parents or your kids speak, your reaction is to reject what they say. U think they are too old or too young to know your inner part. The parents base their argument on the ground that the kids either turn a deaf ear to their experience-based advice or set them against what the elders have been proud of. Yet the younger generation react to the problem the other way around and holds that the opposite is just reasonable.

There was definitely a generation gap between my parents and me when I was a teen, especially my father. My mother, at least, would listen to me. I see less of a gap between my children and my grandchildren. I try to be just an innocent bystander there.

I guess you are an enlightened person. Thus, your children and your grandchildren just fell like you are one of their best friends.

I have 40 years age gap with my mother and sometimes I do feel those generation gap. Good thing my mother is so cool that she knows how to adjust so we can get along well. Me and my mom is like sisters and best friends, though we don't 100 percent share the same opinion but we can discussion things and agreed on the same thing as long as it is logical..
