many parents are worried that their children will get hurt skateboarding.why is the sport so addictive?they get badly hurt and break all sort of bones and yet they return to skateboarding if they can.they love the sport so much they will do it over and over again.this is the most popular sport that kids particapate in. how can we encourage then to try another sport this one can be deadly are leave them disable for rest of there life.

Yeah I skate myself and the reason why?? Because it's so satisfying when you've been trying to land a trick or clear a gap. It gets you in a very good mood. The downsides is, Yes you can get hurt. I get hurt pretty much everyday but its a vital component for getting better at skateboarding "Fall down, Bounce up even higher". Trust me these kids usually know what there doing. If there not showing off and not doing anything they know is way above there level. They wont kill themselves. Expect some minor injuries, but nothing to worry about in long term.

Well ive been skating for about 8 years. To be honest ive never broken 1 bone in my lifetime :p thats the honest truth. But its not that i dont do dangerous things. I do extremely dangerous things. Ive done 360 flips over gaps longer then 2 meters. Ive skitched on a car bumper. Ive done alot of stuff that could kill me actually :p And the reason ive never broken bones in these many crazy things ive done is because i know what im doing. Some skaters try and look good infront of their idiot friends who dont stop them. and end up being in a coma. But of course accidents always happen. Ive been lucky and not had any bones broken. But ive had alot of serious head injuries. One time i was grinding a rail that had too much wax on it, i slipped right off and fell right on my forehead and was bleeding alot. So if ur not carefull enough you will get pretty badly hurt. And i cant believe you said "encourage them to try another sport". It may be hard to understand if you dont skateboard but its something that doesnt go away. When i owned my face off the pavement i stayed down holding my face for half an hour, got up and did the rail again perfectly. I know if your a parent you must worry like crazy about your skater kids. But you have to deal with it. If you ever ban skateboarding from their lives or encourage another sport they will either do it anyways or hate you forever. Skateboarding sticks to you and its not something you can just get rid of.

Skateboarding is not so dangerous, basketball can be that dangerous like skateboarding if you are playin on outdoor court! You can break your bones or it can be worst, i think skateboarding is a very nice sport!
