Crazy price of butter

I wanted to bake cookies today, so I bought ingredients in the grocery yesterday. To my shock, I saw that the price of butter has gone way up! It used to be just P50 early this year, and now it's up to P75! I can't believe how expensive it is! No wonder bread is more expensive as well. Anyway, I'm happy because I ate three yummy chocolate chip cookies already. But I still can't get over the price of butter.. :(

Wow! a 50% increase?? That is a bit outrageous. I havent been to the supermarket lately so I really have no idea for myself. But at least your post kinda gave me the heads up when I do get to buy things.

Yes, it's unbelievable right? I think now's the best time to go on a diet because even my favorite Nestle Kitkat is more expensive than ever. :(

That was Magnolia gold butter. I hope the price goes down because the price of gas already went down.

The price of butter has gone up here recently too. It has not gone up too much, but it has gone up. I normally buy my butter in bulk when it goes on sale. I use about 10 pounds a week making toffee for the orders I get, so I look out for the sales.

Ooh when does butter go on sale? Do you have an easy toffee recipe that you could share with me? Maybe I'll try making that since my cookies didn't turn out so well..

that was a yummy treat! but really the butter is priced that much? whoa! not been to supermarket for some weeks now. what is that brand? oh my goods are really turning into gold eh?

Ooops I think I accidentally posted my reply for you to someone else. Anyway, the brand I bought was Magnolia gold butter. :( I'm choosing something else next time...
