I signed up to be a poll volunteer on Tuesday. I got my assignment today! Four hours of helping people get in the right line for registering to vote; making sure people get in the right voting line according to their last initial. Basically it sounds like I'll be an usher for voters. ;~D This is my first time volunteering on election day. It should be an interesting experience. I'm really excited about it! See you at the polls!

The voters have to line up according to last name? That seems odd. I haven't voted in the county I live in yet but in my old county you just walked in signed the paper, got a card, and voted. Our poll workers are also paid. I don't think it's very much money. My husband has worked the polls and said you have to go to some class. He didn't say that they do in the class but, I picture it something like "this is how you pull the lever" lol Have fun working the polls. Maybe when I'm older I will do that. I hope you're a nice old poll worker!

When I lived in my old county we had like 6 different polling stations in one room. I don't understand the whole go to the right polling station thing. It makes me crazy. lol But now the city I'm in is about 400,000 and our polling place is just a sorta walk in the door and wait in line. They only need your name to prove who you are.

I already casted my vote and I'm praying for him to win. Mr. Obama will make a great change!
