How much stuff do you need?

Our teenage daughter just left for school. She was carrying a very large bag, about the size of a small overnight bag. And then she had to add a small backpack as well. Wonder how much of that stuff was actually school related? How much stuff do you, or did you, carry with you to school? And, how much of it was actually for schoolwork?

All I usually carried to school was an ink pen to write with Everything else was already at school in my locker. Our lovely child carries so much junk it's hard to tell if she is going to school or moving out
