I never gamble unless it's for a good cause

My assistant is on the Mount Holyoke Horse Back Riding Team. Another school's barn burnt down and so she and her teammates created a gift basket to raise money for them to get a new barn. I am going to buy a ticket even though I'm usually not a gambler. The reason I don't gamble has nothing to do with my morality, it's just that I'm very unlucky as a person in games of chance. I don't think I've ever won anything in my entire life, so I've decided as a rule to only gamble when the money goes to a good cause, such as this one. I figured it's better to give my money to a good cause than to some greedy casino owner. What do you all think?

I agree with you. When such event happens, I don`t even care about the winning prize. I would buy the ticket just to donate. When I help, I don`t necessarily need something in return. Soo it`s good to know u do this for a good cause. A second note about the gambling in casino. I don`t know where u live but in Canada, most casinos belong to the government. I guess he collects the monney O_o to pay stuff...not sure.
